STUFFED BELL PEPPERS 
3 slices bacon
1 onion, diced
3/4 c. green pepper, diced
3 whole green peppers, cut in half (lengthwise)
1/3 c. rice (raw), boil 5 minutes in boiling water and drain or use precooked
1 lb. hamburger - plus O.K.
1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce
1 tsp. salt
Pepper to taste

Dice bacon and brown - remove bacon. Add onion and 3/4 cup green pepper. Cook in bacon fat. Add all this to raw hamburger with rice (par-boiled), salt and pepper and 1/2 can of the tomato sauce and mix well. Then fill each green pepper half (rounded). Place in a baking dish. Fill rest of can of tomato sauce with water, mix and pour over green peppers. Bake about 1 hour or until done at 350 to 400 degrees. Do not cover.
