1 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. orange juice
2 1/2 or 3 c. pecan halves
Grated rind of 1 lg. orange

Cook sugar and orange juice to soft boil stage, 248 degrees. Stir in pecan halves, very carefully, until candy hardens on nuts. Separate nuts as you pour onto cookie sheet to harden.
