CHOCOLATE SLAB CAKE 
2 c. self rise flour
2 c. sugar
2 sticks butter
4 tbsp. cocoa
1 c. water
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. baking soda

Bring to a boil, 2 sticks butter, cocoa and water. In a mixing bowl, place flour and sugar. Pour boiling mixture over flour and sugar. Beat well. Add eggs, vanilla, buttermilk and soda. Beat 2 minutes. Pour into greased and floured 13 x 9 x 3 pan. Bake 30 minutes or so at 350 degrees.

ICING:

1 stick butter
3 tbsp. cocoa
6 tbsp. milk
1 box confectioner's sugar
1 tsp. vanilla

Cook butter, cocoa, and milk over low heat until boiling. Remove from heat. Add sugar. Add vanilla. Beat well. Spread on cake while hot.
