EGGLESS BUTTERLESS MILKLESS CAKE 
2 c. brown sugar
2/3 c. Crisco
2 c. water or fruit juice
2 c. raisins
1 c. prunes, optional
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. mace
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
2 tsp. baking soda
4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 1/2 c. nuts
3 tbsp. warm water

Boil sugar, water, raisins, salt, spices 3 minutes. Cool. Add flour, baking powder, soda dissolved in warm water, nuts. Bake 1 1/2 hours in 325 degree oven, using 8 x 12 inch pan.
