1/2 c. shortening 1/4 c. sugar 1 beaten egg yolk 1 tsp. lemon juice 1 c. flour 1/8 tsp. salt 1 slightly beaten egg white Chopped nuts Maraschino cherries Cream shortening and sugar. Add egg yolk and lemon juice. Beat thoroughly. Stir in flour and salt. Chill until firm. Roll into small balls. Dip into beaten egg white; roll in nuts. Place ball on cookie sheet. Press 1/8th maraschino cherry into center. Bake 20 minutes at 325 degrees. |
