KRINGLA 
1 c. white sugar
3/4 c. soft butter
1 egg
1 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. baking soda
2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
3 1/4 c. flour
Dash of salt
1 tsp. vanilla

In large mixing bowl mix sugar, butter and egg. Add buttermilk, soda, flour, salt, baking powder and vanilla. Mix well. Cover bowl and leave batter in refrigerator at least 4 hours. Best overnight.

Take a tablespoon of batter and roll on lightly floured board until size of fat pencil. Form in various shapes (0, 8, l) or other letters and numbers. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 400 degrees for 7 to 9 minutes. Makes 2 dozen.
