KRINGLA 
2 eggs, well beaten
2/3 c. Crisco
1 1/4 c. sugar
1 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. lemon extract
1 tsp. orange extract
3 1/2 c. flour

Mix all ingredients together. Do not over mix - just until smooth. Chill overnight or an hour in the freezer. Divide dough in four parts. Refrigerate pieces you are not working on until time to work on. Roll each piece into a log - section off and roll each piece into an 8 inch pencil. Form each pencil into a figure 8 on a cookie sheet. Bake on top rack in 450 degree oven for about 3 to 5 minutes. Needs to be watched while baking. Do not brown - done when still light colored. Remove from pan and dip each Kringla in cool water while hot.
