QUICK BEEF BUNS 
3/4 lb. ground beef
2 tbsp. minced green pepper
2 tbsp. minced onion
1/2 c. dried bread crumbs
1 tsp. salt
1 (8 oz.) pkg. refrigerated crescent rolls
1 egg yolk

Brown the beef, pepper and onion. Stir in the bread crumbs, barbecue sauce and salt, set aside. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Separate crescent roll dough into 4 rectangles. On lightly floured surface place 1 dough rectangle. Press diagonal perforation to seal with lightly floured rolling pin, roll dough into an 8 inch by 4 rectangle. Cut crosswise in half. Place 2 heaping tablespoons of meat mix on each half. Top with Mozzarella cheese. Pull corners of dough toward the center. Twist together and pinch to seal. Repeat for remaining rectangles.

In a small cup beat egg yolk and teaspoon of water until blended. Brush the top of the buns. Bake 10 to 15 minutes until golden.

Makes 8 buns.
