HOME STYLE BAKED LASAGNA 
1 lb. lasagna noodles
3/4 lb. ground beef
3/4 lb. ground pork
1 chopped onion
1 (12 oz.) can tomato paste
1 tsp. finely cut parsley
2 c. water
1/2 tsp. pepper
1/2 tsp. Italian seasoning
1 tsp. salt
1 lb. Mozzarella, shredded
1 lg. container cottage cheese
1 sm. can mushroom pieces
1/2 c. grated Parmesan cheese

Cook the noodles according to the directions. Rinse with cold water and drain. Meanwhile, cook the ground beef and pork in a heavy saucepan until the coloring changes. Add the onion, parsley, water, tomato paste, salt, pepper and Italian seasonings, and bring to a boil, then turn heat to low and simmer gently for 30 minutes.

In a greased 15 1/2 x 10 1/2 inch pan arrange first a layer of drained noodles and then the alternating layers of cooked mixture, shredded cheese, cottage cheese and mushroom pieces. End with a layer of Mozzarella cheese. Put the Parmesan cheese on top. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 45 minutes.
