FLAVORED RICE 
4 c. cold water
2 c. uncooked rice
2 tbsp. chicken flavored soup base, powdered
3/4 c. chopped onion
3/4 c. chopped green pepper
2 sticks butter

In 5 quart pan, mix water, rice, and chicken soup base. Bring to boil, lower heat and simmer, covered, for 20 minutes. Saute onion, green pepper with 1 stick of butter until green pepper is tender. Add to rice, sauteed mixture, 1 stick butter, salt, and pepper (to taste). Mix well.
