PEAR HONEY 
7 lb. pears
5 lb. sugar
1 (20 oz.) can crushed pineapple
1 lemon, sliced
1 (7 oz.) pkg. coconut, optional

Grind pears. For each cup of pears add 1 cup sugar. Add pineapple, lemon and coconut. Cook slowly in a large heavy pot until thickened. Put in pint jars and seal. This was my mothers recipe. Great on hot biscuits.
