DIVINITY CANDY 
2 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. white Karo syrup
1/2 c. water, boil to a soft ball
Vanilla
Pinch salt

Beat egg whites to stiffen, then pour 1/2 of mixture ingredients in the whites and put the other back on the stove until it forms a hardened crack stage. Then add it to the rest of the whites. Beat until stiff.
