DANISH PASTRY 
Mix together as you would for a pie crust:

1/2 c. butter
1 c. flour

Add 1 tablespoon water and form into 2 balls. Flatten into 2 rectangular pieces 12 x 3 on an ungreased cookie sheet, 3 inches apart.

Bring 1 cup water and 1/2 cup butter to rolling boil. Add 1 teaspoon almond extract. Remove from heat and stir in all at once, 1 cup of flour. Stir vigorously until mixture forms a ball. Add 3 large eggs one at a time. Beat well. Divide dough in half, placing each half on top of first mixture. Bake about 1 hour in 350 degree oven. Cool, frost and top with chopped nuts.
