DANISH PASTRY 
FIRST DOUGH:

1/2 stick butter
1/2 stick butter
1 c. flour
1/8 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. water

SECOND DOUGH:

1 c. water
1/2 stick butter
1/2 stick butter
1 tsp. almond extract
1 c. flour
3 eggs

FROSTING:

4 tbsp. butter
2 c. 10x sugar
3 tbsp. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
3/4 c. chopped walnuts

First dough: Cream butter and butter. Add 1 cup flour, 1/8 teaspoon salt and 2 tablespoons water and mix well with fork. Spread on long cookie sheet, making two 14 x 2 inch rows.

Second dough: Boil 1 cup water in pot and immediately add 1/2 stick butter and 1/2 stick butter, 1 teaspoon almond extract, then remove from heat. Add one cup sifted flour; and mix with fork until it comes away from pot. Add 3 eggs one at a time. Mix well with fork, then place second dough over first dough on cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 1 hour.

Frosting: Mix all ingredients, except walnuts. Spread mixture on cooled strips, sprinkle with walnuts.
