TACO CASSEROLE (MICROWAVE)
1 lb. ground beef
1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce
1 (1 3/4 oz.) env. taco seasoning mix
1 (16 oz.) can refried beans
2 1/2 c. corn chips (tortilla chips)
1/2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese

1. Brown and drain meat.

2. Combine with remaining ingredients, except corn chips and cheese.

3. Spoon meat mixture over 2 cups of corn chips in 1 1/2 quart casserole. Cook in microwave oven on full power for 5 minutes, or until heated through.

4. Crush remaining corn chips. Sprinkle casserole with corn chips and cheese. Heat on full power for 30 seconds to 1 1/2 minutes, or until cheese is melted.

This recipe could be adapted for the conventional oven simply by heating meat and bean mixture on stove and chips in oven before step 3. Then step 4 would be followed by adjusting time and temperature to melt the cheese. Simple and delicious!

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
