SAVORY POTATO GRATIN 
4 to 5 med. potatoes, peeled, sliced
3 to 4 med. onions, peeled, sliced
2 tbsp. butter
4 cloves garlic, minced or pressed
1 tsp. salt
Dash black pepper
Dash nutmeg
1 tsp. dried thyme leaves
3 tbsp. chopped parsley
1/2 c. whipping cream
Paprika

Saute onions in butter in large skillet until soft and transparent. In a shallow baking dish, arrange in layers sliced potatoes and onions. Sprinkle with garlic and seasoning in between layers.

Bake at 350 degrees for about 40 minutes. Add whipping cream all over top. Sprinkle with paprika. Increase temperature to 400 degrees.

Bake another 10-20 minutes until potatoes are soft and fork tender and gratin slightly browned.

Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese before adding whipping cream.
