CREAM CHEESE AND BUTTER COOKIES 
1 lb. cream cheese
1 lb. butter
5 c. flour
1 tsp. vanilla
Apricot or peach preserves

Mix cream cheese, butter, flour and vanilla until you form a dough. Take small amounts of dough and roll in powdered sugar. Flatten on ungreased cookie sheet, fill with preserves. Fold over left to right. Brush top with beaten egg. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes or until light brown. Remove from pan and let cool, then dust with powdered sugar.
