CUSTARD BREAD PUDDING 
1 qt. milk, scalded
2 c. day old bread, cubed
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. sugar
3 eggs, beaten
3 tbsp. melted butter
1/2 tsp. vanilla

Preheat oven to 325 degrees. In bowl, put bread and pour milk over it. Add salt and sugar. Beat eggs. Add to bread mixture with butter and vanilla. Mix well. Set casserole bowl 1 1/2 inches x 1 quart greased in a pan that is deep enough to come up to top of casserole bowl. Pour mixture in casserole bowl. Then put hot water in pan and bake 50 to 60 minutes or until knife inserted near rim comes out clean. Remove from stove and take casserole bowl out of pan. Eat and enjoy!
