STUFFED GREEN PEPPERS 
4 lg. green peppers
1 lb. ground beef
1/4 c. chopped celery
2 tbsp. chopped onion
1 c. cooked rice
1/2 tsp. salt
1 can stewed tomatoes
1 tsp. sugar
6 to 8 slices American cheese

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Cut tops off peppers. Remove membrane and seeds. Boil peppers for 5 minutes in boiling water. Drain; set aside. In large fry pan, add 1 pound ground beef and chopped onion and celery. Drain fat. Add can of stewed tomatoes, dash of salt, sugar, and cooked rice. Place slices of American cheese on top of mixture and mix in when bubbly. Put cooked pepper cups in bread pan and fill with stuffing mixture. Place 1 slice of cheese on top of each pepper. Cook for 5 minutes until cheese slightly browns on edges.
