BUTTERSCOTCH CREAM CHEESE BARS | |
1 (12 oz.) pkg. Nestles butterscotch morsels 6 tbsp. butter 2 c. graham cracker crumbs 2 c. chopped walnuts 2 (8 oz.) cream cheese, softened 1/2 c. sugar 4 eggs 1/4 c. all-purpose flour 2 tbsp. lemon juice Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine butterscotch morsels and butter in double boiler. Mix graham crackers and walnuts and add butterscotch to mixture with fork, mix until crumbly. Reserve 2 cups of mixture for later. Press remaining mixture in the bottom of a 9x13 inch pan. Bake 12-15 minutes. In mixing bowl, combine cream cheese and sugar, beat until creamy. Add eggs, one at a time, blending well. Add flour and lemon juice. Pour evenly over baked crust, sprinkle remaining 2 cups of crumbs over filling. Bake 25 minutes. Cool and cut into 2x1 inch bars. Refrigerate. |
