VINEGAR CANDY (OLD RECIPE) | |
2 c. sugar 1/2 c. vinegar 3 tbsp. butter Put butter in kettle and melt. Add vinegar and sugar. Stir until sugar is dissolved - afterwards stir occasionally. Boil until brittle when dropped into cold water. Turnout on buttered platter to cool enough to handle. It will be yellow in color. Butter hands well and pull until it becomes very light in color and is too stiff to pull any longer. Enjoy!! |
