APPLE DUMPLINGS | |
1 (8 oz.) can crescent rolls 2 lg. apples, peeled, cored and halved 2 tbsp. melted butter 1/2 c. sugar 1 tbsp. cinnamon 1/2 c. orange juice Whipped cream or ice cream (optional) Separate dinner roll dough into 4 rectangles being sure to seal seams well. Place 1/2 apple in the center of each; pull corner of rectangle over apple. Pinch dough together, sealing all seams. Place in lightly greased 9 inch square baking dish and drizzle with butter. Combine sugar and cinnamon; sprinkle over dumplings. Pour orange juice into dish; cover with foil. Bake at 400°F. for 35 minutes. Serve hot with whipped or ice cream or serve plain. Serves 4. |
