2 c. sugar
1 c. shortening
3 eggs
4 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. vanilla
Cinnamon/sugar mixture

Cream together sugar, shortening and eggs. Sift together flour, soda and baking powder. Alternately add flour mixture and buttermilk to creamed mixture. Add vanilla.

Drop by tablespoons on greased cookie sheet. Sprinkle with cinnamon sugar. Bake at 400 degrees for 10 minutes or until cookies begin to brown.
