2 c. sugar
2 eggs, beaten
1 c. butter
2 1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. cloves
2 tsp. baking soda
2 c. hot applesauce
Nuts and raisins
2 or 3 shots of whiskey (I use 3 shots)

Cream sugar and butter. Add eggs, spices, salt and soda. Add flour (save some for raisins and nuts). Mix well. Add applesauce, nuts and raisins. Last but not least, whiskey. Bake in tube pan, 350 degrees, 1 hour, until done. (Very good. Prize winner at fair.)
