BAKED SWISS CAULIFLOWER | |
1 lg. head cauliflower 1/2 c. bread crumbs 2 3/4 c. shredded Swiss cheese 1 1/2 c. half & half 3 egg yolks, beaten 1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg 1/2 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. pepper 1/4 c. melted butter Wash cauliflower and discard green leaves; break into flowerettes. Cook, covered, 10 minutes in a small amount of boiling, salted water; drain. Place cauliflower in a buttered 1 1/2 quart shallow baking dish. Combine remaining ingredients, except butter, and pour over cauliflower. Drizzle butter over top. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes. Serves 6. |
