DATE PUDDING 
1 c. chopped dates
1 c. chopped nuts
2 tsp. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
4 eggs (separated)
1 c. sugar
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. vanilla

Combine sugar, salt, flour, baking powder and well beaten egg yolks. Add vanilla, nuts and dates. Mix thoroughly. Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites. Bake 30 to 40 minutes at 375 degrees. This can be made in double boiler. Test when knife is poked into pudding and comes out clean.
