TOOTSIE ROLLS 
1 tbsp. butter
1/4 c. corn syrup (light or dark)
1 oz. unsweetened chocolate
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. powdered sugar
1/3 c. nonfat dry milk

Blend butter and corn syrup. Stir in chocolate and vanilla. Add powdered sugar and dry milk. Mix well, then roll dough out on table, resembling a snake and cut into bite sized pieces. Refrigerate.

Note: 3 tablespoons cocoa plus 2 tablespoon shortening can be substituted for unsweetened chocolate.
