BANANA NUT BREAD 
2 1/2 c. sifted flour
3 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. sugar
1/4 c. butter
1 egg, beaten
1 c. mashed ripe bananas (3 sm. ones)
1/2 c. milk
1 c. coarsely chopped nuts

Grease a 9x5x3 loaf pan. Sift flour with baking powder and salt; set aside. In medium bowl, with electric mixer, beat sugar, butter and egg until smooth. Add bananas, milk, mixing well. Add flour mixture, beating until smooth. Stir in nuts. Pour into pan. Bake 1 hour at 350 degrees. Makes 1 loaf.
