NANA'S CHERRY BLOSSOM DESSERT 
3/4 cup oatmeal
1 1/2 cup all purpose flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 cup brown sugar (firmly packed)
1/2 cup butter (softened)
1 lg. can cherry pie filling

In a medium bowl, combine all ingredients (except for pie filling) until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Press half of this mixture into the bottom of an 8x11-inch glass baking dish.

Spoon pie filling evenly over this layer, then sprinkle the remaining crumb mixture evenly over the top.

Bake at 350°F for 40-45 minutes.

Option: May substitute other fruit pie fillings to vary the dessert.
