APPLE CRISP DESSERT 
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. flour
1 c. oatmeal
3/4 c. butter
1/4 c. chopped nuts
1/2 tsp. salt
4 c. sliced apples
2 tbsp. lemon juice
3/4 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
Whipped cream

Combine brown sugar, flour, oatmeal, butter, nuts and salt. Mix with fork until crumbly. Spread 1/2 of this mixture into bottom of 12"x8" baking dish. Arrange apple slices over crumbs, sprinkle with lemon juice if apples are not tart, then sprinkle apples with cinnamon sugar mixture. (Amount of sugar depends on tartness of apples.) Cover with remaining crumbs. Bake in microwave on high 20 minutes. Serve with whipped cream and nuts. Fresh peaches or rhubarb may be substituted for apples.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
