ICICLE PICKLES 
6 lb. cucumbers, sliced
2 gallons water
2 c. lime

Soak sliced cucumbers in lime water 24 hours. Wash clean and soak in clear water 3 hours.

Make syrup:

9 c. sugar
3 pt. Heinz white vinegar
2 tsp. whole cloves
2 tsp. whole allspice
2 tsp. whole celery seeds
2 tsp. salt

Let boil a few minutes, then pour over sliced cucumbers. Let soak 24 hours. Remove cucumbers. Boil syrup, add cucumbers and boil slowly for 20 minutes. Put in sterilized jars and seal.
