3 c. white vinegar 1 c. water 3 c. sugar 1/4 c. salt Cucumbers Peel and remove the seeds from large cucumbers. Cut into strips 1/2-inch wide. Cover with ice water. Let stand overnight. Drain and pack upright in sterilized jars. For each 3 or 4 jars, boil together for 3 minutes the first 3 ingredients, then add 1/4 cup salt. Pour over the cucumbers to fill the jars. Seal. Process in boiling water bath for 15 minutes. Let stand 6 weeks before using. |
