RHUBARB DESSERT 
3/4 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. flour
5 c. cut rhubarb
3 tbsp. butter
1/2 c. milk
1 tsp. baking powder

Place rhubarb in bottom of 9 x 12 inch Pyrex dish. Cream butter and sugar, add dry ingredients with milk. Mix and spread over rhubarb.

Cover with topping. Combine 1 cup sugar and 1 tablespoon cornstarch. Mix and sprinkle over dough. Pour 1 cup boiling water over all. Bake at 350 degrees for 50 minutes. Regulate heat and cooking time to your oven. Top will be crusty and lightly browned. Serve warm or cold with whipped cream or ice cream.
