PEAR & TOMATO CHUTNEY 
1 lb. pears
1 lb. tomatoes
1 green pepper
1 med. size onion
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. vinegar
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. ginger
1/2 tsp. mustard
1/8 tsp. cayenne
1 canned pimento

Coarsely chop ingredients except pimento. Put in saucepan and boil for 1 hour slowly. Stir occasionally. Add pimento and boil 3 minutes longer. Pour into sterilized jar.
