APPLE PIE WITH CREAM 
Pastry for two 9 inch crusts
6 c. thinly sliced apples
3/4 c. heavy cream
2 tbsp. flour
2 tbsp. melted butter
1 lg. egg
1 c. sugar (part may be brown)
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
2 tsp. lemon juice or vanilla

Line pie pan with one half of the pastry. Arrange apple slices in pie shell.

Combine all the remaining ingredients and blend thoroughly. Pour over apples.

Arrange top crust over filling. Flute the edges. Cut vents. Brush the crust with milk or with half and half. Bake in oven at 400 degrees for 45 minutes to an hour.
