2/3 c. Crisco shortening
2/3 c. butter
1 c. sugar
1 c. (packed) light brown sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
3 c. Gold Medal flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
12 oz. chocolate chips

Mix first 6 ingredients together until well blended. Add salt and baking soda and mix well. Add flour and mix well. Add chocolate chips. Drop batter by teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet and bake in 375 degree oven for 8 to 10 minutes or until lightly browned.
