DOUBLE CHIP COOKIES 
2 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. shortening OR 3/4 c. (1 1/2 sticks) butter, softened
1 c. granulated sugar
1/2 c. light brown sugar, packed
1 tsp. vanilla extract
2 eggs
1 2/3 (10 oz.) pkg. peanut butter chips
2/3 c. semi-sweet OR milk chocolate chips

Heat oven to 350 degrees. In bowl, stir together flour and baking soda. In large mixer bowl, beat shortening, granulated sugar, brown sugar and vanilla. Add eggs; beat well. Gradually add flour mixture, beating well. Stir in chips. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool slightly; remove from cookie sheet to wire rack. Cool completely. Makes about 5 dozen cookies.
