PRINCE OF WALES PIE | |
1 pie shell 2/3 c. packed brown sugar 2/3 c. butter 1 can sweetened condensed milk 1/2 c. chopped pecans or walnuts 1/2 c. raisins 1/2 tsp. vanilla 2 to 3 tbsp. semi-sweet chocolate chips Unsweetened whipped cream Pecan halves for garnish Pre-bake pie shell. Combine brown sugar, butter and condensed milk in saucepan over medium-low heat. Bring to boil. Stir constantly for 7 minutes until thick. Mixture scorches easily. Remove from heat. Stir in nuts and raisins. Pour into shell. Sprinkle with chocolate chips - they will melt. Swirl chocolate on top of pie. Chill until firm. Top with whipped cream and pecans. |
