CHOCOLATE CARAMELS 
1 1/3 c. (15 oz. can) sweetened condensed milk
1 c. light corn syrup
3 sq. unsweetened chocolate
1/8 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla

Combine milk, corn syrup, chocolate and salt in 2 quart heavy saucepan. Stir constantly. Cook over medium heat approximately 30 minutes (to 248 degrees). Remove from heat. Stir in vanilla. Pour into buttered pan. After it is cool, cut into squares and wrap in waxed paper.
