BETTY'S DELICIOUS RAISIN BREAD | |
2 c. milk 1/2 stick butter 1/3 c. sugar 2 tsp. salt 1/3 c. water 4 tsp. dry yeast 2 c. raisins 6 c. flour Scald milk. Put in bowl. Add shortening and raisins. When cool enough, dissolve yeast in water and add. Gradually add flour until dough is not sticky. Make into 2 balls of dough and roll in rectangle. Mix 1/2 cup sugar and 2 tablespoons cinnamon. Sprinkle on dough and roll up and put in pans. Raise 1 1/2 hours in bowl and then one hour in pans. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. |
