SQUASH PATTIES 
1 (32 oz.) can squash, well drained
1 medium onion, chopped fine
black pepper, salt to taste
1/2 tsp. sage
1 egg
2/3 cup corn meal
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
oil, for frying

Mix all ingredients well, Use tablespoon to scoop into hot oil. When brown on one side, turn. Place on paper towels, allow excess oil to drain.
