SPANISH RICE 
1 c. rice (not Minute)
1 onion, chopped
1 bell pepper, chopped
1 can whole tomatoes
1 can water
1/4 c. hot sauce
Salt & pepper
Garlic salt
1 1/2 tbsp. chili powder
1/4 - 1/2 c. bacon grease

In bacon grease, cook onion and bell pepper for about 5 minutes. Add rice to pan and brown. (Be careful not to brown to dark.) Add tomatoes, water and seasonings. Cover with lid and simmer for 1 hour.
