BREAD PUDDING 
1/2 c. brown sugar
6 slices buttered bread
2 c. milk
3 egg
1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. nutmeg or cinnamon

Sprinkle brown sugar in bottom of pan. Cube bread and place on top of brown sugar. Mix remaining ingredients together and pour over bread. Sprinkle with small amount of nutmeg or cinnamon. Place pan with mixture into a large pan full of water. Place in oven. Bake at 450 degrees, 10 minutes, then lower oven to 250 degrees and bake for 1 1/2 hours. When it is done, cool about 10 minutes and then turn out into dish. Serve warm with Cool Whip (or good plain).
