BASIC REFRIGERATOR ROLLS 
1 c. hot water
1 tsp. salt
6 tbsp. shortening
1/4 c. sugar
1 cake yeast
2 tbsp. lukewarm water
1 egg, well beaten
3 1/2 to 4 c. flour

Combine hot water, salt, shortening and sugar in large bowl. Cool to lukewarm. Mix yeast with lukewarm water. Add yeast, egg, and half of flour. Beat well. Stir in enough flour to make dough stiff.

Grease top of dough and store in refrigerator. Cut off dough as needed. Dip in melted butter after forming small balls. Place in muffin tin, 3 balls in each well. Let rise until double. Bake at 425 degrees for 12-15 minutes.
