CANDIED YAMS 
15 sm. sweet potatoes
2 c. sugar
1/2 stick butter
1/2 c. white Karo syrup
1 tsp. red food coloring
1 tsp. yellow food coloring

Wash and peel sweet potatoes. Cover with water and bring to boil. Cook for 3 minutes. Drain off most of water. Add other ingredients and cook until thick and syrupy.
