MACARONI AND CHEESE CASSEROLE | |
8 oz. macaroni 3 tbsp. butter 3 tbsp. flour 1/4 tsp. salt 1/8 tsp. pepper 1 1/2 c. milk 1 1/2 c. grated Cheddar cheese 1 c. fresh bread crumbs 2 tbsp. melted butter 1/2 tsp. paprika Cook and drain macaroni. Meanwhile, melt butter over low heat. Blend in flour and seasonings. Gradually add milk, stirring until sauce thickens. Add cheese and stir until melted. Add cooked, drained macaroni and mix. Pour into greased 1 1/2-quart casserole dish. Toss bread crumbs with melted butter and paprika. Sprinkle over top of macaroni. Bake in preheated 375°F oven for 25 minutes or until brown. |
