SAM'S MUSHROOM BURGERS | |
Portobello mushroom caps, the largest you can find, stems removed hamburger buns butter, melted garlic, minced liquid smoke Worcestershire sauce cheddar cheese slices lettuce, torn in large pieces tomato, sliced pickle slices ketchup, mustard, mayo, anything else you like Brush both sides of the mushrooms and hamburger buns with melted butter. Mix garlic, liquid smoke, Worcestershire sauce and remaining butter. Broil mushrooms skin side up for about 5 minutes. Flip and fill cavity with the mixture. Broil till the mixture is bubbly. Top with cheese slices and broil till cheese is melted. Remove and cover with foil. Try not to lose any of the filling. Brown buns under broiler. Place a mushroom cap on each bun. Top with lettuce, tomatoes and pickle slices. Top of bun. You can put condiments on top and bottom, as you wish. Submitted by: Sam Campbell |
