FRANKFURTER-LINTEL SOUP | |
4 slices bacon 1 c. onion, chopped 1 c. carrot, chopped 1 c. celery, chopped 1 lb. lentil 3 qts. water 2 beef bouillon cubes 2 tbsp. vinegar 2 tsp. dry mustard 1 lb. sliced franks 1/4 c. ketchup Salt and pepper Partially cook bacon and add onion, carrots, and celery and saute for 15 minutes. Add lentils, water, bouillon cubes, vinegar, and mustard. Bring to a boil and cook for 1 hour. Add sliced franks, ketchup, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 15 minutes. |
