CHINESE-STYLE VEGETABLE MEDLEY | |
1 sm. head green cabbage (1 lb.) 1 tbsp. shortening 1 c. thin diagonal sliced celery 1 med. green pepper, cut into thin diagonal slices 2/3 c. chopped onion 1 tsp. salt 1/8 tsp. pepper 1 tbsp. soy sauce Heat shortening in a medium skillet. Add vegetables and stir. Cover; steam 5 minutes or until crisp-tender, stirring several times. Add salt and pepper. If desired, stir in 1 tablespoon soy sauce. Yield: 4 servings. |
