PIGS IN THE BLANKS (SARMA) | |
2 lbs. ground beef 2 lbs. ground pork 2 lbs. ground ham (or about 5 lbs. of meat in all) 5 eggs Garlic powder to taste 1 c. rice Pepper to taste Tomato or V-8 juice Mix all ingredients (except juice and cabbage) together. Roll into small balls and wrap with cabbage leaves or can use sour head of cabbage. Layer cabbage rolls in large roaster. Pour tomato juice over all, or V-8 juice if you prefer. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 1/2 hours or until done. Check so they do not dry; add more liquid if necessary. These are always better the next day. |
